BEIJING, Mar. 20 (Xinhua) –The monitored 20 major Chinese cities provided 75 plots of land for property development in the week from March 12 to March 18, down 41.86 percent week on week, with the land area at 3.3 million square meters, according to the latest statistics released after a routine survey conducted by China Index Academy (CIA), one of the country's largest property research institutes.
Of the 75 plots of land, 22 were for residential purpose, up 29.4 percent week on week, with the land area at 1.19 million square meters.
Some 42 plots of land were transacted in the 20 monitored cities last week, surging 121 percent week on week, with the transaction area totaling 1.56 million square meters.
